Biography
Vivian Lam is a clinical research coordinator in the Thoracic Oncology Program at UCSF. She is deeply invested in end-of-life and palliative care, and finding ways to improve quality of life for terminally ill patients.
Her ongoing work in end-of-life and palliative care ranges from academic research, online course development, start-up design, and journalism. Public service and advocacy continue to be guiding cornerstones of her professional life.
Her undergraduate years at Stanford were focused on research and scholarship in the medical humanities, medical anthropology, and storytelling as ethical practice.
