A gift to the Thoracic Oncology Progam helps us discover new treatments and cures for lung cancer, esophageal cancer and mesothelioma.

Johannes Kratz, M.D., a research fellow in the Thoracic Oncology Lab from 2008-11, played a pivotal role in the development of a prognostic assay for early-stage lung cancer patients, reported on in The Lancet and JAMA.
Patients receive state-of-the-art care from a multidisciplinary team of dedicated to treating lung cancer, mesothelioma, esophageal cancer, metastasiic disease to the lungs as well as less common malignancies including sarcomas, and tumors of the thymus, mediastinum, bronchus and chest wall. In addition, clinical investigators in the program conduct clinical trials for the most promising new therapies.
